Methodist University: Here Is Why You Need A Non-Citizen Ghana Card As A Foreign Student

Before or after acquiring a residence permit, you need to get a Non-Citizen Ghana card for various transactional purposes and it’s mandatory where a form of identification is needed.

NOTICE TO ALL INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS ACQUIRING A NON-CITIZEN CARD

Dear International students,
You are kindly informed that all foreign nationals who are residence permit holders should register for a Non-citizen Ghana card with the National Identification Authority (NIA). This is required by the Ghanaian law and it’s a MUST for all foreign nationals living in Ghana. Without the above-mentioned card, you will not have access to essential services such as acquiring a Driving License, Opening Bank Account, securing Resident Permit in the county.

Cost of registration is $120 or its Cedi equivalent.
Registration Centers
Accra: NIA Head Office, off Tetteh Quarshie Interchange near Gulf House.
Registration is mandatory.
