Bright Ackwerh Joins Artists Who Will Be Exhibiting At Republic Bar’s “Coming To America” In Washington DC

Ghanaian art is really making its mark on the world.

Thanks to the Chale Wote Street Art Festival and the amazing channel called social media, Ghanaian artists are gradually getting the worldwide recognition they deserve.

Bright Ackwerh is one of such Ghanaian artists who continues to put our country on the art world’s map.

The Republic Bar Ghana, one of Ghana’s major contributors to the vibrant night scene in Accra, is championing the idea of enjoying the night scene in one major city at a time.

Billed as ‘Coming To America’ the Republic Bar wants you to “experience the vibe in one night in one major city around the world.”

For their Washington DC event, Republic Bar has recruited a number of artists to exhibit on 29th September 2018.

Sedinam Awo Tsegah, Bright Ackwerh, Slim Kadhafi, a body artist and others will also join Republic Bar’s exhibition and night event, which will be held at the Big Chief in Washington DC.

Afrodesiac Worldwide integrates contemporary design against cultural references and a kaleidoscope of modern luxurious African fabrics. Each collection is developed to illustrate the beauty of cultural exchange through fashion, a combination of sophistication and heritage. Fusing retro design with non traditional African prints has become our design signature. We celebrate the cosmopolitan side of Africa, its influence on style throughout the globe and its contribution to our cultural past, present and future. From our signature infinity dresses and halters, handmade with fabrics from throughout the continent, to our vibrant jumpsuits and hand pounded brass jewelry made with pre-colonial coins from Ghana. Our African roots run deep in our design aesthetic. At the same time, we celebrate Afro style in the diaspora that extends to the streets of London, New York, Trinidad, Brazil and Paris. Redefining the landscape we intend to integrate fashion with the larger global community. Instagram: @afrodesiacworldwide Facebook: Afrodesiac Worldwide Twitter: afrodesiacww Web:
