Valco hall beat Atlantic Hall in a 6 -4 goals thriller to win the first ever video game inter hall competition organized by Cowbell at the forecourt of Valco Hall. All the six traditional halls including Casford, Adehye, Oguaa, Atlantic, Kwame Nkrumah and Valco hall participated in the three day event. The participating halls were divided into two zones (old site and new site). The old site zone were made up of Adehye, Oguaa and Valco halls, while the new site comprised Casford, Kwame Nkrumah and Valco halls.
Atlantic hall beat Oguaa hall by 3 goals to 2 in the first match and went ahead to beat Adehye 3 goals to nil to emerge as champions in the old site zone. Valco hall on the other hand beat Kwame Nkrumah by 14 goals to 4 in the first game. They also punished the hall of gentlemen, Casford, by 12 goals to 3 in the second match to set the tone for the final clash with Atlantic hall the next day.The finals was very competitive between the industrialists (Valco hall) and the mariners (Atlantic hall). The first match between White Henry of Valco and Ebenezer Arhin ended 3 goals to 2 in favour of Valco hall. The mariners lost again by the same margin in the second match making Valco hall champions of the tournament.Speaking at the Event Mr. Gideon Kpodo, the PRO of Promasidor Ghana Ltd, commended the halls for participating in this year’s competition and assured them that the video game competition event will never be a nine day wonder. “I assure you that, we will continue to organize this event annually.
