Four female residents of the newly mixed hall, Unity hall (fondly called Conti), have been sanctioned for harbouring two male students in their rooms which is a violation of Hall rules.
The two male students were found in their female counterparts’ room at dawn on the 8th of September,2018.
Now the amazing twist to the story is that all the students are residents of the same hall, and were about to face suspension from the hall but due to apologies to the hall management from the parents of these students and remorsefulness of the students as well, they have been pardoned and made to sign an undertaking of good behaviour.
The management claims this is a minimum sanction meted out to these students but anyone found engaging in such an act will be dealt with accordingly.
So their crime was just visiting a friend in the same hall, that’s all.
So for now, all those in the newly mixed halls should note that visiting any one of the opposite sex in your halls, past 10 pm is a violation of hall rules, so please play it safe.
It somehow sounds absurd but we just have to comply.
