Mac Miller was found dead in his home yesterday. His family released a statement confirming his death:
“Malcolm McCormick, known and adored by fans as Mac Miller, has tragically passed away at the age of 26. He was a bright light in this world for his family, friends and fans. Thank you for your prayers. Please respect our privacy. There are no further details as to the cause of his death at this time.”
The well-known rapper who released an album last month, has featured the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Lil Wayne and Ty Dolla $ign in his career. He also has music with his ex Ariana Grande, whom he’d been dating for two years before their breakup in May.
Even though the coroner hasn’t given the official report on the cause of death, it’s suspected that he died from drug overdose. Many celebrities are in shock and have taken to social media to express their condolences.
