The National Museum of Brazil in Rio de Janeiro has been gutted by fire.
The fire is reported to have started on Sunday evening.
The cause of the fire is not known and no injuries were recorded.
The museum which was established in 1818, celebrated its 200th anniversary this year. It used to be the residence of the Portuguese royal family.
The museum contains over 20 million items, including mummies, meteorites, insects, & fossils.
