Yesterday, an amazing musician left us and joined the angels.
Aretha Franklin has a voice of angels and she had sung for Kings and Queens, Presidents and Prime Ministers.
At the age of 76, Aretha passed on.
Her publicist said she was suffering from advanced pancreatic cancer.
Since her passing many have taken to social media to pay tribute to the Queen of Soul.
Former President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle Obama were among the world leaders who paid tribute to her.
Aretha helped define the American experience. In her voice, we could feel our history, all of it and in every shade—our power and our pain, our darkness and our light, our quest for redemption and our hard-won respect. May the Queen of Soul rest in eternal peace. pic.twitter.com/bfASqKlLc5
