This is to officially inform the University community of what transpired during the just ended USAG Congress.
It is true that some students got drown in the Oasis beach in Cape Coast on the 16th of August, 2018 from University of Ghana, Accra City campus and University of Education Winneba, Mampong campus respectively. However, a student of Methodist University College, Dansoman campus by name Sharon Ayebatonye was also a victim of the same incidence but was rescued early enough to have survived the tragic situation.
We call for a relief of tension with the guarantee that the above-named student is healthy and back with her family here in Accra.
The SRC sympathize with the affected institutions and families of the deceased. It is our prayer that God in his wisdom will see them through this trialing time.
