Oh yeah, everybody has been snubbed publicly before.
You know that moment when you raise your hand to greet someone in public but it turns out the person didn’t see you so you gently put your hands down or scratch your eye a little bit to avoid the embarrassment?
Well, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia was served that on a national stage by the President.
This happened when the President hosted about 1,350 businesses who benefited from the Presidential Business Support Programme at the Jubilee House last Tuesday.
As it is protocol, the president is always the last person to attend a ceremony, even if it is being held in his ‘own’ house.
The normal handshakes with the front roll guests and a wave to the backbenchers were missing this time when the President walked into the room.
Maybe, Bawumia thought he would have preferential treatment… but Nana wasn’t in the mood.
But like every obedient Vice President, Dr Bawumia raised his hand for a handshake, it quickly turned into a salute which were both ignored and then when the President passed, he seemed to have said something we can’t make out.
