Upon a survey recently conducted by the Amaba H&H volunteers group, it was found out that, most of the blood banks in Ghana are in acute shortage of blood, which is causing a rise in deaths.
The Amaba H&H Volunteers group, which has its focus on health and education, decided to come up with a way of helping this situation. This birthed the #GiveaPintSaveALife campaign, which is aimed at fostering the habit of voluntary blood donation by the ordinary Ghanaian. This campaign is envisioned to help increase the amount of blood in our banks and also make the Ghanaian understand the benefits of voluntary blood donation(vbd) to the nation, the recipient and the donor himself.
In view of this, they are going to be organizing a series of blood drives to help replenish our blood banks. Their maiden edition is in collaboration with the Greater Accra Regional Hospital on the 21st day of August 2018, Eid Ul Adha day.
It promises to be a star-studded event, as the Grandpapa of hiplife, Reggie Rockson himself has spoken about it. We’re hearing of artistes like B4bonah, Sean Taylor, Kobby Sarr and a host of others passing through on that day.
