Legon: Alexander Kwapong Hall Inaugurates Their Research Commons.

The Kwapong Commons was commissioned today at 9:30 am, in a brief ceremony.

The Kwapong Commons was a dream of Kwaku Otu Aikins, a past president of the hall.

This project is meant to serve members of the hall who aren’t privileged enough to afford to bring a laptop to school. The next JCR President, Witness Avutor bought into this idea and it was finally completed under Selasi Ahadzi, the current JCR President’s tenure.
The room is well furnished with 10 connected computers,  AC, and seats if all you want is a quiet and cool place to use your laptop.

Dearest Kwapongnites, or if ever you find yourself in Kwapong, just pass by C3102 to access the place.

In attendance were the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (ASA), Prof. Samuel Kwame Offei, members of Kwapong SCR (hall management): The Hall master, Dr. Stephen Afranie, The Senior Hall Tutor, Dr. Kwame Asamoah
Citations of appreciation were awarded to all those who made the realization of this dream a success. They were available for consultation and donations.

In his speech, The Pro-VC commended the hall JCR executives and management for undertaking this laudable project.
He also expressed his hope that the Kwapong Commons would be used for the purpose for which it was created.
