As fleeting as life is, the friends and family of entertainment pundit, Bertrand Nana Turkson couldn’t have imagined him dying in such a manner.
Just last Saturday, Nana Turkson was on air at Joy FM when Shatta Wale strolled into the studio as part of his media run for the launch of his ‘Reign’ album.
He was reportedly rushed to Korle Bu Teaching Hospital yesterday when he complained of ill health.
In less than 12 hours, Nana Turkson had passed.
He is reportedly a diabetes patient who has been living with the disease for a couple of years.
“It is with a heavy heart and painful that I break this sad news and announce the death of my brother Nana Turkson. He died this afternoon at Korle-Bu. The family of the late pundit is also in shock. In due course further details will be communicated,” Ato Turkson, Nana Turkson’s brother is reported to have shared on a WhatsApp platform.
Not long after the news broke, his colleagues in the industry started paying him tributes on social media…
Rest Well Bertrand Nana Turkson. Jah knows! You were a good man. I’m heartbroken tonight.

Nana Turkson was humble, all smiles & had a very positive spirit. The few times we met you were always full of praise and encouraging words; a great example of the support system our industry needs. Rest well big bro. Condolences to his family & close friends. Cc @kniilante pic.twitter.com/0gHYTePXi3
