Yesterday, a casualty in H.E Nana Akufo-Addo’s government was witnessed. It is very common in Ghanaian politics that under any presidency at least one or two ministers or high profile government officials have had to resign or get fired due to their involvement in one shady deal or the other.
The now former Minister of Energy and Petroleum, Boakye Agyarko was relieved of his duties yesterday by the President because of the blowback from his attempts to get a rather dodgy Ameri deal passed by parliament.
But his dismissal came at a cost to Nana Damoah, who until last night worked as a communication specialist at the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum.
Up until yesterday, Nana Damoah was moving from one media house to the other defending Boakye Agyarko and the new Ameri deal that contained information that misled the President to approve it.
He took to Facebook to announce his resignation…
Then the comments started coming in…
Nana Damoah holds an MBA in Global Business from the Catholic University of Milan.
Surely, he will be fine with finding his next pay cheque.
