Let’s just say that we wouldn’t want to be in the shoes of the people managing the Instagram account for H.E Nana Akufo-Addo.

Yesterday, as the President ended his tour of the Volta Region, his team posted a picture of his convoy trying to navigate their way on a very bad road.

The muddy feeder road is full of potholes and even the 4 x 4s the President is travelling in are having a tough time using the road.

When the President’s social media team posted the picture it was meant to communicate the president’s commitment to reconstructing the road.

“I assured that the Hohoe-Jasikan stretch of the Eastern Corridor Road, and, indeed, the entire Eastern Corridor road network, will be completed before the end of 2020,” part of the President’s caption read.

But despite the President’s assurance of getting the road fixed, Instagram users were not impressed.

Musician Ayibge Edem urged the President to make sure that the road is fixed for the region.

Others were less diplomatic…

Meanwhile, some of the users were also happy that the President was at least honest in acknowledging that the road is in a very terrible shape.

Well, 2020 is less than two years away… We will be following it.
