If you have been online in the past few hours, then you should know that the President, H.E Akufo-Addo has nominated the Executive Director of the IEA, Jean Mensa as the Chairperson for the Electoral Commission.
Her nomination is pending approval from the Council of State, then it will eventually put the nail in the coffin for the end of Charlotte Osei’s leadership at the Electoral Commission.
Just last month, H.E Akufo Addo fired Charlotte Osei based on a recommendation from a committee that launched an investigation into the dealings of the Electoral Commission.
Two other deputies who were also fired by the President were replaced today as well.
As it becomes clear that the government is bent on replacing her, Charlotte Osei took to Instagram – as she always does, to say this: “A shepherd provides. A shepherd guides. A shepherd leads. A shepherd delivers from harm. A shepherd knows his sheep intimately. A shepherd protects. This week, walk in the confidence that your Shepherd knows you and loves you. Do you know your shepherd? 🧐”

There is a current case pending at the Supreme Court challenging H.E Akufo-Addo’s decision to fire Charlotte Osei.
Who knows? She might come back if NDC wins power again… this is not over yet.
