A Lion, A lion has a tail, it has a big head and a very small waist… is one of our favourite nursery rhymes.
Though we love lions we are also ever reminded of how dangerous they are.
All the same, whenever we go to the zoo… watching huge semi-tamed lions in their caves is one of the highlights of any zoo visit.
All of us have an ideal image of how lions must look like.
Their big head with lots of hair and rather a tiny waist.
But these lions kept at the Port Harcourt Zoo in Nigeria are looking too slim and they look they have been on a hunger strike for years.
This picture was on the Hotels Nigeria Twitter handle and since then the image has gone viral.
