From The Runway To The Pulpit – Meet Pearl Amoah The Beauty Queen/Super Model Who Is Now A Reverend Minister

Guys… get ready for a double take story.

This got us off guard.

Some of us may be too young to remember her, but before all the Instagram slay queens you know today was Pearl Amoah a beauty queen with all the glitz and glamour of her time.

The beautiful Pearl Amoah won the Miss Northern Region in 1994 and then she followed it with the Miss Ghana Universe crown in 1996.

She later competed in the Mrs. Ghana International in 2015 and you guessed it… She won!

However, before launching a comeback into the world of beauty pageant, she moved from being beauty queen into a supermodel. During that time she worked with international modelling agencies such as Ford Modeling Agency in New York between 1997 and 2005. She also worked for world-renowned modelling agencies as Metropolitan Modeling Agency, Metropolitan Paris Modeling Agency.

She got everything fashion could offer her… She was living the dream…

But she had more in her to give…

The model, now turned designer earned a Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality Management from Westbourne University London, and a diploma in Architecture & Interior Design from Parsons School of Design in New York.

In 2006 she was invited by the Harvard Business School as a Fashion Moderator for their annual conference organized by the African Business Club.

Two years ago she started the Pearl Amoah Fashion Show to cement her fashion mogul status.

The fashion show was to offer a platform for young Ghanaian to develop confidence, talents, values and principles while opening doors for them to build a career in fashion.

From all indications, she had an impressive resume in fashion and she has been able to evolve from the runnay to the corner office and the fashion decision-making table.

It is for this reason that her decision to become a reverend minister is shocking social media users and drawing congratulatory messages all the same.

She is seemingly walking away from the world where she is most comfortable into the unknown.

Let’s face it– people who work in fashion are not entirely regarded as people who will add becoming reverend ministers to a list of career prospects.

She is an exception.

This move by Pearl is a complete 180 0r 360 depending on how you choose to look at it.

All the best Reverend Pearl Amoah.
