Reigning champions, Prempeh College have been painfully taken out of the contest by the least expected, West Africa SHS.
They also crushed Krobo Girls SHS in the contest.
Prempeh College became the champions of the 2017 National Science & Maths Quiz after beating St. Thomas Aquinas SHS and Adisadel College at the grand finale held on June 29, 2017, at the National Theatre.

Looks like this year, their tenure was cut short after West Africa SHS scored 52 points. Prempeh College scored 45 points and Krobo Girls SHS 29 points.
