In his first public reaction to the Anas Aremeyaw Anas investigative piece into the bribery and corruption underworld of football in Ghana and other parts of Africa, the CEO of Zylofon Media, Nana Appiah Mensah has called for calm and urged people not to jump into conclusions.

Nana Appiah Mensah, who recently signed a $10 million Ghana Premier League deal with the disgraced Kwesi Nyantakyi, called on Ghanaians to “deflate our rage.”

“#Number12 Presents Ghana a fine circumstantial documentary (film) evidence, but it is wrong to rely on such a material, which has not been subjected to the standards of the laws or rules of evidence before conclusions,” Nana Appiah Mensah said in a tweet.

His company, Zylofon Cash is now the title sponsor of the premier league which now doesn’t have a governing body running it after the government released a statement yesterday claiming that it has dissolved the Ghana Football Association.

The dissolution of the GFA, now puts the premier league Nana Appiah Mensah has paid so much money for in jeopardy.

Moreover, since the details of the deal are shrouded in secrecy, we don’t know the terms of the exit clause Nana Appiah Mensah must follow if he wants to abandon the sinking GFA ship.

But just as Captian, Asamoah Gyan failed to gauge the mood of the country and went ahead to call for support on Twitter for the Black Stars now 2:2 game against Iceland, Nana Appiah Mensah seems to be going down the same track.

Unpopular opinion from Nana Appiah Mensah.
