One personality the entire country mourns with is Former President John Dramani Mahama.

He earlier on expressed a dumbfounding shock at the death of his former vice president.

Just moments ago, the former president has placed out an official statement on his Instagram account about the demise of the Late Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur.

I learnt about the untimely demise of my brother and friend, Vice President Kwesi Bekoe Amissah Arthur with shock and deep sorrow. As Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. Amissah Arthur actively supported my administration to put Ghana on the path of sustainable socioeconomic growth and development. He was an admirable personality in both Ghana and in the NDC because he served with distinction in the many roles he played in the development of our country. Paa Kwesi was a quintessential gentleman who brought immense knowledge, decency and integrity to governance and public service. His passing has left a huge void in our nation and we are overwhelmed with grief. I extend my deepest condolences to his wife, Mrs. Matilda Amissah Arthur and his children as well as his extended family.
