It was a sad evening for not only the Super Eagles of Nigeria but the whole African continent.
The Nigerian national team were on the their way to qualify for the next stage of the competition until Marco Rojo at the 86th minute delivered a fantastic shot into the back of the net.
Before that, Lionel Messi gave the Argentine’s a lead in the 14th minute.
Right after halftime at the 51st minute, Victor Moses came to the rescue of the Super Eagles by nicely converting a penalty kick which made it 1-1.
We all know Twitter is a place where people all over the world express what’s on their mind or how they feel.
Let take a look at the reactionS from some fans on Twitter after Nigeria’s painful exit.

We may have lost the game but Super Eagles really tried.
Proud of them.
We lose some, we win some.
P.S: The referee is a racist!!
