Once again other people are profiting on African and Ghanaian merchandise.

As Ghanaians, we love our Ghana Must Go Bags. Even Louis Vuitton has appropriated our fashion sense and made their own version of the low-cost bag.

Kiki Palmer rocked Ghana Must Go and the design also inspired runway fashion designs.

And the design has also inspired runway fashion designs.

The latest thing to be appropriated is the Aheneba – the royal sandals that are won with traditional clothing.

Fashion house Valentino recently stocked up on an Italian made version of our Aheneba.

They called it the Valentino Garavani thong sandal in matt calfskin.

It is currently sold out. They went on sale for  $1,345 that is GHS 6,314.77 in the current exchange rate.

The aheneba was detailed with an animal element in ebony wood and antique gold/rose finish metal, leather sole with a heel height 5mm/0,25”.

People are cashing in on our culture more than us.
