#UENRDecides: UENR SRC Elections Have Been Postponed Again

UENR SRC election looks like it won’t be drama free for a long time.

After the initial hold up with the elections due to the court injunction, the Electoral Commission came out to inform the student body that they elections will come off on the 4th of May.

But guess what…

That didn’t happen as well.

The Electoral Commission for UENR postponed the elections once again even though the initial 10-day injunction had ended.

TeamGyimah, which is the prosecuting side, received a summon from the EC from the High Court for Tuesday the 8th of May 2018.

Team Gyimah has however filed another hearing on 18th May 2018  and this places another 10-day injunction on the Electoral Commission.

The EC, however, hopes to resolve this situation when they meet tomorrow in court.
