Yesterday was a big day.
In fact, it was a very royal Sunday.
His Majesty the King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II celebrated his 68th birthday. Long Live Your Majesty (with a curtsey).
But as a traditional King celebrated his birthday, he shared it with a rather 21st century Queen (for want of a better description).
This Queen is Shatta Michy. She had been on her baby daddy’s side for a very long time. As Shatta Wale built his Shatta Movement empire, she, Shatta Michy by defect became its Queen, ruling with the King.
But what seemed to be a rocky relationship has recently become threatening, or might have even knocked her off the throne altogether.
As she celebrated her birthday yesterday, she did it in the most regal way one can.
Her photoshoot pictures captured her wearing a tiara, Queen Shatta Michy that is.
But what do we make of a queen when her King didn’t wish her a happy birthday?
It tells us that the palace isn’t safe for the queen.
Instead of Shatta Wale showing some love on social media for Shatta Michy, he chose to push his song Gringo.
All his posts, retweets, regranns and shares were about Gringo, none… we mean zero social media posts for Shatta Michy yesterday.
To make matters worse, a video of Shatta Wale kissing another lady rather went viral.
Yep, Shatta Wale was all over this lady.
But this new woman isn’t entirely new…. She is reportedly the same woman Shatta Michy once attacked in a club… The fight was said to be about Shatta Wale.
For someone, whose public persona is closely linked to Shatta Wale, yesterday must have been a very hard day for her.
It also inevitably confirms an allerged split between Shatta Wale and Shatta Michy.
Anyway, her bio on Instagram reads “Michelle Diamond Mother. Singer. Humanitarian. LadyBoss Single & free from oppression.”
On to the next, guys….
However, do you think Shatta Wale should have at least wished Shatta Michy a happy birthday?
