#UGDecides’18: There Will Be No Manual Voting As Expected During The SRC Elections

Following the concerns raised by students after previous elections, it was suggested that in the next elections, students may have to use both the manual voting system and the existing electronic system to avoid all the integrity issues surrounding the electronic voting software.

The Electoral Commissioner for the Students Representative Council of the University of Ghana, Mr. Kweku Quansah revealed yesterday on Radio Universe that unfortunately, this year’s election will only make use of the electronic system.

He continued to explain that this decision was made because the funds provided for the elections are insufficient to cover the entire process; it only caters for preliminary elections and a possible runoff which is why they’d have to stick to the electronic process only.

So yes guys, everything will be same as usual, nothing new here. Get your IDs ready and well, trust the system!!
