#UGDecides’18: SRC Aspirant Allegedly Asked To Pay GH8,500 To Win In The Upcoming Election

Student politics has proven to be as dirty a game as national politics and each time, when elections get close, something new comes up to confirm this thought.

An SRC Aspirant has allegedly been asked to pay an amount of money to guarantee her win in the upcoming elections.

The TESCON president, Livinus Kweku Bondzie and the deputy Treasurer Attobrah Oduro Emmanuel aka Tiger allegedly demanded an amount of Ghc 8,500 from one of the General Secretary aspirants to make her win.

LegonConnect.com reports that they have in their possession, a recording between the SRC aspirant and the deputy treasurer of TESCON in the negotiation. In the said recording, the deputy treasurer Attobrah (Tiger) claims he was sent by the TESCON president Livinus to follow up on an earlier whatsapp chat between them and also went on to assure her that the deal will be done as long as the money is paid.

In an audio listened to by Kuulpeeps, the deputy Treasurer, Attobrah (Tiger) is heard bragging about how easily a single post of anyone’s picture on his WhatsApp status or Dp will make the person a hit. He insisted that per his branding and influence on campus, GH8500 cedis was nothing and deserved no complaints from anyone in exchange for what he can do to make the aspirant win.

He referred to himself as a fine boy politician and kept throwing jabs at people who “do what he does but for sexual favors instead”. He expressed disdain at people like that and even said “he has no intention of going into mainstream politics so he can ‘dirty’ himself in any way”

He is a level 400 Student, studying Marketing in the Business school.

Tiger

Now quick question : Now that Tiger has made his method clear, is it far fetched to wonder if all the aspirants he has endorsed or is campaigning for, have paid him to do so or it’s probably just genuine love for what they stand for and believe in…
