#GIJDecides: Henry Dongotey Has Stepped Out Of The Race Of Finanacial Secratary

We are in the election mood and a lot of things seems to be happening on campus.

Somewhere last week before the vetting of the aspirants took place, one candidate stepped out of the race suddenly.

There were some rumours flying that his opposition paid him off to step out of the elections but the team rallying behind Dongotey has released a communique even though they didn’t state any concrete reason as to why their candidate was stepping out of the race.

Here is a copy of the communique:

Team Dongotey Henry Lawerh (DHL) would like to, first of all, apologize to all persons who placed trust in their candidate during the awareness creation period. The declination of our candidate has seemingly been a disappointment to many undoubtedly.

The team would want all and sundry to acknowledge and appreciate the declination of our candidate due to pressing issues which were beyond the reach of the team.

Rumours circulating has it that our candidate couldn’t raise the said amount for the forms and filing fee. Our candidate is an able entrepreneur and on the record, he is capable of using very little in achieving great. We are actually not troubled by that rumour as everyone would want to be heard.

For the purpose of clearing the air and standing with the decision of our candidate, we wish to inform the student body that we still have our trust placed in him and we will appreciate whatever decision he takes.

Team DHL is strong, we are united and will forever stay truthful to whatever we indulge ourselves in…

Our apt apologies to all persons who would have been comfortable with having our trustworthy candidate as the financial secretary for the 2018/2019 academic year.

We should again understand that his policies or ideology for the SRC would have been none to compare with. In that respect, we shall have no problem allaying those policies to the would-be SRC executive board for consideration.

It is for the betterment of us all. Therefore, we ought to support the course in whatever way we can. And oh yes we can.

We appreciate your support and goodwill showed towards team DHL and we shall continue to be with you.

Thank you
