The Communication and Social Media Seminar has come off successfully at the University of Ghana. The capacity-building event witnessed participants tap into the rich practical experiences of the resource persons who are communications professionals.
Sylvester Kwame Osei presented on the various social media platforms and the ones that suit the academic and professional needs of the audiences.
He elaborated on the need to contribute to one’s online reputation and equally outlined career prospects of having social media skills. Participants were guided through various tools that enhance social media management.
King Wellington, on the other hand, outlined the various skills and ethics to smoothly operate in corporate communications.
He also delved into practical case studies of how corporate communication planning and strategies resulted in successful global campaigns and brand activations. He also exposed participants to other higher learning resources from which they can grow their communication careers.
In all, 15 participants benefited from the Seminar, from various faculties of the University.
The expectation is that the skills acquired will permeate in other aspects of their social, academic and professional exploits.
