Things vandals didnt know about themselves

Wossop kuulpeeps!

Y’all have heard of the issue concerning the deal between the government of Ghana and the United States of America right to set up a US military base in the country right?

Yeah, and this decision has not gone well with most Ghanaians.

In light of this, the JCR of Commonwealth Hall in Collaboration with African Youth Improvement Foundation and Economic Fighters League are going to organize a press conference to condemn the decision taken by the government of Ghana.

There’s more information in the communique below;

The leadership and members of the Commonwealth Hall of the University of Ghana in collaboration with the African Youth Improvement Foundation and Economic Fighters League wish to unequivocally openly register their displeasure towards how the future and sovereignty of Ghana have been cheaply sold to the United States of America.

We highly appreciate and respect the long-lasting relationship between Ghana and the United States of America but this notwithstanding, we want to greatly condemn the infamous Ghana-US Military agreement which may negatively affect Ghana’s citizenry and democratic dispensation.

Students of Commonwealth Hall can never sit down idle, monitoring gross disrespect to Ghanaians by trampling on our freedom.

We want to, unreservedly, condemn this step by the Government of Ghana. The step is highly uncalled for and must be looked at.

We call on the President of the Republic to, as a matter of urgency, reverse this decision and ask the Minister for Defense to step down honourably.

The leadership of the hall has therefore scheduled April 5, 2018(tomorrow ) to organize an emergency press conference and later hit the streets on April 10th to openly condemn this feverous act by the Akuffo-Addo led government.

All media houses, JCR Executives, The SRC President and all other institutions in the university and beyond who has the nation at heart are very much invited

NB. The press conference is tomorrow 10 am at commonwealth hall

(JCR President)
