Methodist University SRC Women’s Commission Presents “MISS MUCG”

Since the maiden edition of MISS MUCG in 2015, the contest has not been organized for the past few years. The current women’s commission seeks to revive the pageantry program in 2018, therefore registration is now open for interested persons to apply and showcase their talent.

The theme for MISS MUCG 2018/2019 is “Redefining the university woman through advocacy and culture to promote national development.”

We got in touch with the secretary of the SRC Women’s Commission, Alberta Sam, and she gave us insights into the pageantry.

“The desire is to empower ladies in the University to showcase their talents and add their voice to social issues in the university and the country as a whole and to boost their confidence as well,” she said.

Speaking on the entry requirements, she said: “one has to be a female student of MUCG, either a Ghanaian or Foreigner, you qualify as long as you are a student at Methodist University.”

“We expect the turn up to be high because the first and the last one ever done was in 2015 and we hope this one will go way beyond that one.”

Audition is slated for the 16th of March 2018 and forms are going out for a cool 30 Ghana Cedis.
