The Director of Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) William Akwasi Appiah has been dismissed.
This comes after the Deputy General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Koku Anyidoho was released on bail after spending two nights in the BNI cells.
Koku is facing treason charges for reportedly saying that H.E Nana Addo will be overthrown in a coup d’etat.
In an interview with Starr FM, the Minister of National Security Kan Dapaah confirmed that the director of the BNI has been relieved of his duties to the security agency.
Mr Dapaah said “Yes, there have been some changes” at the BNI
William Akwasi Appiah has been replaced by one Musah who is the Head of Research at the BNI.
