Upcoming Ghanaian highlife/hiplife artiste, Peter Fameyeh, has called on MUSIGA to create a platform to aid young musicians who are talented so they will be able to make some substantial amount of money from their music.
He said even though their songs may not be hits, a certain platform should be instituted to boost the morale of upcoming artiste in order to motivate them.
Popularly known in the showbiz circle as Fameyeh, he used to be a full-time rapper but discovered his singing talent along the line of his career.
Currently, he is mixing both hiplife and highlife to form his own genre of music to entertain his fans. He said the greatest impact he would like to make in the music industry is to take the name of Ghana overseas through his music and not even by singing in English but the local dialect.
He believes that though people think it is not possible to motivate the current generation to take the highlife/hiplife music seriously, it is the only original genre of music Ghanaians rightfully have.
Known by his hit song “Afia Bruwaa” ft Kofi Kinaata, the highlife artist is determined to bring change into the industry through his songs which contain lots of inspirational messages and blow the minds of Ghanaians to dance to his tunes. The highlife musician has also featured Medikal in his song “Addiction”.
Fameyeh has expressed interest in joining Zylofon Media since it has become one of the biggest record labels in Ghana now and he will be happy if they sign him as one of their artists. Currently, he is under the record label Tetepa Music and believes his current management will be glad should he win a contract with Zylofon Media.
He advised the upcoming artists to work hard, stay true to themselves and hope to be great one day.
Peter Fameyeh has professionally been in the music industry for 5 years.
