University of Ghana Student Posed As A Soldier And Broke Into Bawumia’s Security Detail

You know the hustle is real and you have to risk everything and pose a soldier on the Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s security detail.

23-year-old Sissey Ibrahim who claims to be a student at the University of Ghana, who is also a fake soldier, by the way, managed to manoeuvre his way into the Vice President’s inner circle.

It all happened when the “army officer” by the name, Sissey Ibrahim, was spotted by a police officer – ASP Benjamin Adu who was stationed at the Kotoka International Airport.

Both officers revealed to the press that they suspected Ibrahim could not have been a soldier looking at how he was behaving. It was then that both officers discovered he was fake.

The 23-year-old man, who claims to be a student of the University of Ghana, is currently assisting police with investigations as questions over how he managed to break into the security of the vice president surfaces.

This is the very first time the vice president’s security detail has been breached – a development which raises the question of how safe and secured Ghana’s top political hierarchy is.

According to the Ashanti Regional Police Commander, COP Ken Yeboah, the uniform he was wearing reportedly belongs to his brother who is on a duty tour in Lebanon.

He wasn’t carrying a weapon.
