The Students Representative Council (SRC) of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) has been relentless in ensuring that the needs of the students are met.
A major source of worry has been difficulty in accessing fast and a reliable internet.
Students pay for their data needs with their personal funds or rely heavily on the wifi located in the various halls and departments.
The SRC proposed a 5km 4G WI-Fi which every student was to benefit from this semester. Payments for this proposed project has already been made and beginning this semester, students were supposed to enjoy this WI-FI service.
However the WI-FI Project has not materialized yet, and the SRC is running out of patience.
According to a source, a decision was taken at the Executive Council meeting on 4th February 2018 that, the university management has been giving up to the end of February to complete the WI-FI project.
