The Amazing Teacher Who Went Viral For Teaching MS Word On A Blackboard Gets Help From Microsoft


Richard Appiah Akoto, the 33-year-old information and communication technology (ICT) teacher that went viral after he shared photos of him drawing MS Word on the board has got support from Bill Gate’s Microsoft.

Richard, known as Owura Kwadwo Hottish on social media is a teacher at Betenase M/A Junior High School in the town of Sekyeredumase in the Ashanti Region.

This amazing and dedicated teacher’s story went beyond Ghanaian borders and now he has the ear of the multi-billion dollar multinational company, Microsoft.

In a tweet, the company promised to “equip Owura Kwadwo with a device from one of our partners, and access to our MCE program & free professional development resources.”

“Supporting teachers to enable digital transformation in education is at the core of what we do,” it said in the tweet.
