The University of Ghana’s SRC, this week sent out a communique informing students on the new development concerning the transportation system on campus and also asked for their views.

Here is a breakdown of what they issued out:

The main transport service company on campus, RSTC has resolved to increase the fare from GHc 1.00 to GHc 1.50 or withdraw their services.

Bad huh! so the SRC realizing this had negotiations with RSTC but the negotiations did not produce any good outcome. This however pushed the SRC to look for an alternative source of providing easier and cheaper services for the student body by negotiating with MMT Ayalolo to provide 4 air condition buses for a fee of GHc 50.00 per semester, which translates into approximately 45 pesewas a day.
