
Yesterday was a bittersweet day for Nigerian hip hop recording artiste, Olamide.
Just a few hours after he celebrated his son’s birthday, YBNL Boss, Olamide lost his mother, Nigerian media reports.
The bitter ending of a day that was supposed to be filled completely with joy and laughter.
“Happy birthday 🎉🎈🎂🎊🎁 Batifèori Maximiliano Adedeji ❤️❤️❤️❤️ more life young King 🤴🏾 from Dad,your best pal,” Olamide posted on Instagram early yesterday.
However, about four hours later, returned to Instagram to mourn his mother. “🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯 Orisa bi iya o si 💔💔💔💔💔,” he said in Yuroba. It means “there is no one like mother to me, no matter however she may be.”
No statement on the cause of his mum’s death has been released.
Celebrities, including Juliet Ibrahim, have also taken to social media to sympathise with the musician
