The 60th Grammy’s Award night was held in New York last night.

As critics have praised Kendrick Lamar’s opening of the show, they have also raised concerns as to why JAY-Z’s ultra-revealing album, 4:44 failed to win a single album despite being the most nominated album heading into the Grammy night.

Though Kendrick Lamar did stand up for the culture by taking home 5 Grammys, four of those in the rap category and one in the mainstream category – Music Video of The Year. The 60th Grammys award night was generally a bad night for hip-hop.
