We have been telling you about Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia being unwell.
Last week, the Presidency released a statement saying that the Vice President had taken ill and that he had been flown to the United Kingdom to receive medical attention.
Yes, people had raised all sorts of issues about the UK bit, but all the same, we do want the Vice President to get well.
Today, the wife of the Vice President, Samira Bawumia has released an appreciative statement that said Dr Bawumia “is doing very well.”
“My husband and I are grateful to all Ghanaians and well-wishers from across the world for your prayers, support and be wishes,” the Samira Bawumia signed statement read.
“He looks forward to returning to work soon,’ she said.
The Vice President has been in the UK since last week raising concerns from some Ghanaians who have accused government officials of running down medical facilities in the country while they travel abroad to seek healthcare.
Meanwhile, according to reports, Member of Parliament, Kennedy Agyapong and Gabby Otchere Darko were reportedly denied access to the Dr Bawumia when they went to visit him in the UK.
