
Just like any other school, Motown has certain jargons that only Achimotans will understand. So we went round to find out what some of these jargons meant.
You’ll be surprised at the kind of jargons generations of Motowners have created on campus.
Un-Achimotan
This term is said when a student isn’t behaving like he/she attends Motown.
Papping
This simply means breaking bounds.
Recs
This is the term used to describe records nights (Entertainment)
Gating
Gating is a term used when students of opposite sex are having a more personal conversation.
Bosting
This term is used to describe stealing
Non-school
Non-school means doing any act that isn’t allowed in the school
Breach of common sense
This is simply a breach of school rules.
Meo
Meo is actually a non-school act which means cooking Indomie.
Atico
If you get below 55% in two or more subjects you won’t be allowed to go for midterm. You rather go to class during midterm and entertainment periods. The term is called Atico.
