Ashesians Create Awareness On Deplorable State Of Brekuso-Kwabenya Road

Hi Kuulpeeps!! 😉

The semester is about to end. There are project works due, presentations, and final exams on the way. As students and staffulty (staff and faculty), we have to end this semester on a healthy note before we leave for the Christmas break. As such, the Ashesi Sports Committee brings to you the Ashesi Marathon. The purpose of this marathon is to keep fit, have a healthy body and mind for the rest of the semester. The other major aim of the marathon is to create awareness for THE ROAD, the Brekuso-Kwabenya road.

If you’re an Ashesi student and you have not gotten your hair and clothes dyed golden brown whilst on the road, then you’re not an Ashesi student. If you are as frustrated 🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♀️ about the state of our road, 😤 then you should be highly motivated for this marathon🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏾‍♂️💨. The event is on Saturday, 25th of November 2017. The marathon will start from the Ashesi premises to the Comet Police station.

The marathon alone is not enough to create the maximum awareness required for the road. We also want to take selfies 🤳🏾and pictures 📸 of the road while we are at it and post them on all our social media handles using the hashtag #RUN4THEROAD. Imagine what doing this combined with coverage by Joy Fm could do for the road. We could go down in the history books 😁.

There are no guarantees, but it’s definitely worth a try 💪🏾. The sports committee therefore entreats all Ashesians, to bring their devices along to facilitate the process.
It’s almost time, Ashesi!!! #LetsDoThis.
