Kuulpeeps, today is the day you should never forget this saying -The man who laughs last, laughs the best.
Yeah, It’s not a Kuulpeeps thing to use old proverbs in our write-ups, but you’ll soon know that today is no ordinary day.
Yesterday, it seemed President Robert Mugabe had his back against the wall.
He had been given a 24-hour ultimatum by his Zanu-PF political party to step down, failure to do so would mean the party would file formal impeachment charges against him.
However, in a dramatic turn of events just hours after he was voted out of the leadership of his party, old Bob appeared on national television flanked by the military officers who had put him under house arrest.
In that defiant television appearance, Bob vowed to stay in power for several weeks, despite intense pressure on him to stand down now.
He even went on to say that he would lead the party in their December congress.
This latest move virtually stops those who called for his resignation in their tracks. For whatever reason, the military is backing their Commander-In-Chief now.
This has started conversations that President Mugabe might have orchestrated the alleged coup attempt to rid himself of certain people who were taking undue advantage of his rule.
