Put Some Respek’ On Our Name- UEW Students Tell MTN Ghana..Or Showed Them Rather!

UEW students got their pound of flesh yesterday at the matriculation ceremony.

While fresh students were being matriculated, MTN Ghana received the biggest yawa.

MTN had set up their activation stand at the Jophus Anamoah Car Park (they were there early o) obviously to engage in business for the day, when the heat caught up with them – they didn’t know what hit them. The SRC Entercom Chairman together with some “crusaders” approached them and questioned the telecom company if they had approval from the school authorities to set up. Dem biz them aaa…MTN ‘peepo’ couldn’t answer.

The EnterCom Chairman, Osei Akoto Michael affectionately known as MAGMA, asked the company to close down their activation stand and leave the school campus. The company had no choice than to pack up and leave, amidst catcalls from students to respect our school like they do other universities.

You’d think it’ll end there…the Entercom Chairman tweeted @MTNGhana and they tweeted back…with an apology!

People are saying that the students of the school have a long-time beef with MTN for shunning UEW in their MTN Pulse Campus Activations, but we can’t confirm or deny this please…lol. We do know for sure that MTN Ghana had no approval from school authorities to set up on our campus today. Students are however giving a word of caution to brands who take us for granted to put some respek on our name!!
