This event, taking place at the College of Physicians and Surgeons hall at 12:00pm on 12th October 2017, is primarily geared towards improving the world of work in Ghana by providing cutting-edge pointers and strategies. This is to help you be the best version of yourself and provide optimum value for prospective employers. Through engaging presentations and discussions, the resource persons incite, in attendees, the urgency to create value for themselves and others. Speaking at the HR Focus Career Development Session this year is Rev. Celia Apeagyei Collins, Founder, Rehoboth Foundation and Mr. Michael Adjei-Djan, CEO, African Concrete Products Limited.

Another exciting part of the career development session is the HR Focus Interschool’s Business Challenge. This year’s business challenge started with a preliminary competition between six schools: Accra Institute of Technology, Presbyterian University College, Pentecost University College, Radford University College, University of Ghana Business School(UGBS), and Wisconsin University College.

The winners of the preliminaries, Wisconsin University College, Pentecost University College and University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) will compete for the title as champions of the Business Challenge at the finals against the reigning champions, University of Professional Studies (UPSA).

The competition not only equips participating students with the chance to learn critical thinking, strategic planning and effective teamwork, but also teaches the observing audience the crux of entrepreneurship and business mindedness.

At the end of the HR Focus Career Development Session, students and job seekers will not only have a competitive edge in the world of work, but will also gain insight into having an entrepreneurial mindset and learning to create value.
