Former President, Flt lt Jerry John Rawlings is out there playing hero… guys!
Y’all know JJ has a big heart and whatever it is they say about him in politics, he is certainly a character to reckon with.
He recently celebrated the lives of two young people who are thankful to him for being alive.
The former president helped to raise funds for Prof Emeritus Boachie Adjei and his team at the Focos Orthopaedic Hospital to perform life-saving correctional surgery of the spinal deformity of Maxwell Agorsor as well as the heart surgery of Naomi Gomeshie at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Myjoyonline reports.
While recollecting the first time he met Naomi Gomeshie, Rawlings said his attention was drawn to a child who was increasingly breathless. He could see the pulsations of her heart through the dress the child wore.
Around the same time when he was raising funds for Naomi, his attention was drawn to Maxwell, who had a severe spinal deformity, through the philanthropic organization; the FOCOS Orthopaedic Hospital, Rawlings was able to help the two.
JJ’s efforts were supported by Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, Mr. Ibrahim Mahama, Nigerian Businessman and Motivational Speaker Ubong King among others.
