The Ashesi Community is excited to be welcoming the class of 2021 to our beautiful campus next week!
Our plan is to give our freshers the best orientation experience ever. This year, over 100 continuing students have offered to volunteer to make preparations for freshers in order to make them feel at home.
Freshman week is one of the most memorable moments in a freshman’s life in Ashesi. This is because unlike other universities in Ghana, there are varieties of activities in place for freshers to enjoy and make memories, as well as explore the phenomenal Ashesi campus.
This year, the Ashesi class of 2021 is privileged to have their Akwaaba Night not in the Bliss Lounge but, on the roof top located at the newly constructed hostels.
For the second time, freshers will be grouped in colour codes to take part in activities such as; treasure hunts, Ashesi Got Talent, Who’s Got Game, and other fun activities.
For the first time, freshers will have a welcome barbecue, and an Accra City Tour, as well as the Amazing Ashesi Race.
One of the most memorable events during orientation week is the Calabash Ceremony. The freshers receive Ashesi ©2021 branded calabashes, amidst drumming and cultural dancing. It’s an inception ceremony whereby they get to have a taste of the “Ashesi Purified Water”.
Below is the Orientation Schedule for the Ashesi Class of 2021. Do explore and comment whether the same is done in your university.
