NSMQ Award Winner Has Received Educational Sponsorship From Well-meaning Ghanaians

Ghanaians are really looking out for their own.

People who live or are descendants of Northern Ghana have initiated a fund called a ‘Token Fund Initiative for Excellence’, to support students from the three Northern Regions of Ghana who are brilliant but needy.

To kick off, the Token Fund Initiative for Excellence has presented GHc 2,000 Ghana cedis to miss Zuweira Baba Mohammed, the best female contestant during the 2017 National Science and Maths Quiz competition.

Plans are also in the pipeline to get her a laptop computer to aid in her studies.

This new fund will provide much needed financial support for people who live in the north and have the ability to achieve excellence in education.
