Ghanaian celebrities are constantly wowing us with their music and movies and whatever else they are into but have you ever wondered what they are up to when they aren’t reading scripts and making music or performing at shows?

You’d be surprised a couple of them are actually doing something the average Ghanaian will say “eew” to:


These celebrities aside their ‘in-the-spotlight’ jobs, have dedicated part of their time to tilling the land.

The “Higher” artiste who recently got married is actually into cocoa farming. He is even the ambassador for MASO,an initiative of Solidaridad that is aimed at empowering and grooming young people between ages 18-25 years in cocoa growing communities to make the cultivation of the cash crop, an economic career choice.

The rapper, Trigmatic has a rice farm and is even set to launch a campaign, ‘Grow Ghana Eat Ghana’ to encourage the youth to go into agriculture.

The actor, John Dumelo has a cassava farm and hopes to expand soon. He even organized the youth in the Manya Krobo community to get into agriculture.
