Students from Archbishop Porter Girls, who are representing Ghana at the FIRST Robotics Competition in the United States, have met and interacted with US First Daughter, Ivanka Trump.

The group of six students are competing against students from over 150 countries.

This year’s challenge is to develop a robot that will help alleviate the problem of access to clean water around the world.

Ivanka Trump, who was pleased to have met the team, encouraged the girls to continue focusing on developing their knowledge in science and robotics.

“Congratulations to all of the amazing and talented competitors at today’s FIRST Robotics Competition. Thank you for sharing your passion with me. You are the future! #STEM,” she posted on her Facebook.

Good job, kuulpeeps!
