Former Arsenal and Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor has been installed as a chief in Togo.
Adebayor was enstooled in Kpalimé for his humanitarian activities.
He is currently on a nationwide tour where he is offering humanitarian support to disadvantaged communities.
He has already visited other cities including Kara, in a speech, he said he was committed to make education more affordable for children.
In one of his Facebook posts, he said “Day3 of the #SEAfoundationTour2017 was another success. We spent the morning visiting the NGO “Mond’Action-Togo Solinyogobu” in Sokodé. We gave some away yesterday and I will be providing for all 70 children for a full year. Then we arrived in Kpalimé with a Royal welcome.”
The football legend has promised to support 160 children from different Togolese communities for a period of one year.
